BlackBerry Achievement Awards Finalist 2013

BlackBerry holds its annual Achievement Awards to recognize the latest and greatest contributions to the world of mobile innovation. As a result of the incredible success of the first year of the BlackBerry App Generator, Mippin was selected as a finalist in the prestigious 'Mobile Innovation of the Year' category. As of May 2013, more than 17,000 App Generator apps in over 40 languages are available in BlackBerry World.

AOP Digital Publishing Awards 2012

The AOP (Association of Online Publishers) Digital Publishing Awards selected the Mippin App Factory as a finalist for its Best Technology Partner category. These distinguished awards recognize and commend the UK digital media's greatest achievements of the year, and were celebrated at a black tie gala at the Camden Roadhouse.

Wireless Achievement Awards Finalist 2012

OK! Magazine for BlackBerry, one of Mippin's featured apps, was selected by BlackBerry's Wireless Achievement Awards as a finalist for the 2012 competition. The Wireless Achievement Awards are a showcase of how much can be accomplished when visionary organizations and their partners put BlackBerry solutions to work. The OK! app is easy-to-use and seamless, with fast loading times and an emphasis on sharing articles via BlackBerry Messenger.

Most Effective Mobile Publishing Solution 2011

Mippin's App Factory was selected as the Most Effective Publishing Solution at the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards. The awards ceremony organised by the Mobile Marketing Magazine and sponsored by Upstream, OpenMarket and Propel, saw 154 entries across 17 categories. Other winners included Pepsi, Sky and Sainsbury's.

Most Innovative BlackBerry WebWorks App 2011

Mippin's Daily Express UK app for BlackBerry and Playbook took 1st place at the BlackBerry Developer Challenge (for Europe, Middle East & Africa) within the category of 'Most Innovative BlackBerry WebWorks App'. The app was built using HTML5 technology and then packaged using WebWorks.

Nokia Innovation Excellence Award 2010

The Ovi App Wizard (now Nokia App Wizard) was selected for the Nokia Innovation Award, an internal Nokia award. Nokia's CEO nominated the project [App Wizard] as the best mobile solution project of 2010. In 18 months the App Wizard resulted in over 20,000 new apps and 100 million downloads.

Android Developer Challenge 2009

For Android's second annual Developer Challenge, Mippin's Buzz Deck app took first place in the Media category. This prestigious award recognizes the best development work for the Android platform and comes with a hefty $100,000 prize. The winners were selected after two rounds of scoring, one round completed by thousands of Android users and another by an official panel of judges.

Nokia Calling All Innovators 2009

Forum Nokia selected Mippin's Tech Buzz Widget as the winner of their annual 'Calling All Innovators' award. The Tech Buzz Widget was one of five widgets for Nokia touch screen devices launched by Mippin; they power quick and easy content discovery on the device's home screen.
